Background
The Reynolds Institute
for (Ministerial) Pastoral Education and Development is an organization
owned and operated by the New England District Church
of the Nazarene to provide training and supervision
of candidates for ordination on the New England District.
The Institute is named for Dr. Hiram F. Reynolds,
former pastor of the Haverhill church and distinguished
General Superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene.
The Reynolds Institute will seek to coordinate and
provide courses of instruction and developmental experiences
for ordination candidates and laymen who are interested
in preparing for ministry. Under the supervision of
the Board of Ministerial Credentials the Institute
will be able to satisfy all necessary educational
requirements for ordination on the New England District.
Organization
The Reynolds Institute
has six centers which are designed to serve the various
education and development needs of ministry students.
The centers are designed to work together to provide
students with a comprehensive array of training and
experience to equip him or her for ministry. The six
centers draw on a common set of services (such as
records management) that are coordinated at the Institute
level.
